A Free Self-Guided Tour in Walla Walla Saturday June 3, 2023, 11am to 4 pm Register at Whitman Shelter in Pioneer Park 10:30 am to 2 pm. Garden locations and informational talks will be provided upon registration.
View residential and public gardens transitioning a more sustainable urban landscape. The focus is on the process of transitioning from big lawns and thirsty plants to low water use gardens. They demonstrate the use of plants native to the Columbia Basin and foothills benefiting local wildlife. Learn more about how you too can put a little piece of local nature in your garden.
Public gardens on the tour include the Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) vineyard hedgerow and the Whitman College Waterwise Garden. Informational talks at these gardens are scheduled during the day.
