Join us for a planting party at Rattlesnake Slope Preserve. A 5th grade class from Wiley Elementary grew over 40 sagebrush from seed. The class collected the seed from Leslie Groves North Restoration Project. The class will be planting their seedlings and would like some help! All are welcome to this free event.
Where to meet:
Rattlesnake Slope Trailhead Parking Lot
From Richland-- Take WA-240 W towards Vantage
Turn left onto WA-225 W towards Benton City for 4.1 miles
Parking lot + Trailhead is on the right.
What to bring: Yourself + Friends! A shovel or trowel and gloves. Wear clothes appropriate for the weather, sturdy shoes/boots suitable for uneven ground and cheatgrass, personal drinking water.
Things to note:
Folks under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian. As per WNPS policy, a general liability release will need to be filled out in order to participate. Hope to see you there!
