September Social: Sweets and Seed Swap at Leslie Groves North
Wednesday September 7th 6:30PM-Sunset (8ish)
Join us at Leslie Groves North for our monthly member meeting! We’ll swap native seeds, stories and savor some sweet treats while enjoying the sunset. We’ll also have the opportunity to explore the LGN Restoration area to ID some fall blooms and seed scout for a future chapter collection event. Sowing from seed is a great way to enhance the genetic diversity in your native garden. New to gardening with natives? Don’t fret! We’ll have a few species on hand and some general germination advice to get you started. All are welcome to this event!* Hope to seed you there! ;)
Optional items to bring: Any WA native seeds you’ve collected from your garden that you’d like to swap or donate for chapter use and a sweet treat to share. BYO Chair if you’d like.
Meeting Location: Leslie Groves North Park in Richland near the Snyder Boat Launch (Cross streets: Harris and Snyder) This location is outdoors.
*seeds may be limited to members only pending inventory and interest, but socializing and plant talk will abound for all!
