Get Outside: Plant ID + Tour with Tapteal Greenway

  • Horn Rapids HOA 3383 Village Pkwy Richland, WA, 99354 United States (map)

Let’s take a field trip outdoors and talk about restoration strategies and native plants with Dirk Peterson and Stan Kuik of Tapteal Greenway. They’ll take us on a tour of their most recent restoration project at Horn Rapids HOA (the neighborhood, not the park). We’ll talk about what’s worked, what hasn’t and hypothesize how and why these plants have grown the way they have! Plant ID, plenty of native plant dialog and maybe even some fall seed sowing is on the agenda! This event is open to anyone who wishes to join. All botanical skill levels welcome!

This event will be outdoors come rain or shine! As per current WNPS guidelines, mask wearing and social distancing is required. Feel free to bring a lawn chair and a cup of coffee for the conversation!

Tapteal Greenway is a local volunteer-led organization. Their Mission is: ‘Promoting conservation, education and recreation along the lower Yakima River.’
