Partner Event— Garden Discovery Day in Hansen Park with the Heritage Garden Program.  CBWNPS meet up starting at 11:30 AM for a Pollinator Talk with Dr David James, WSU entomologist on the importance of native pollinators and their relationships with native plants followed by a tour of the Heritage Garden with the Benton Conservation District staff. Tour will include an open discussion on the importance of gardening with native plants, tips, tricks and troubleshooting in a native garden.  All are welcome to this free event!

  • 10 AM- Milkweed for Monarchs - Sow native milkweed seeds

  • 10:30-12 PM Seedball Making for the Shrub Steppe, Arts + Crafts, Educational Activities Seedballs made will be used for restoration projects locally

  • 11:30 AM -12 PM Pollinator Presentation with guest speaker Dr David James, WSU Entomologist + Butterfly Enthusiast

  • 12 PM -12:45 PM What is a Heritage Garden? Tour + Gardening with Native Plants Discussion
