Looking for something to do this Saturday? Join the Friends of Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges for their family friendly Native Plant Appreciation Event at the McNary Education Center!
9:30 AM Learn about pollinators with Dr. David James presentation: "Beauty and Benefits: The Value of Native Plants to Beneficial Insects" followed by a tour of the pollinator garden.
11 AM ish- Wildflower Walk at Two Sisters- with Ernie Crediford Signup as soon as you arrive if you wish to carpool in USFWS vans (space is limited). Vans will leave around 11 AM and head towards Two Sisters for the wildflower field trip - bring your walking sticks!
The day will also include fun with microscopes, children’s crafts, and educational displays from local groups.
