April In Person Meeting: Wildflower Walk on Badger Mtn
Sunday April 14th 10:30 AM-12 PM
Happy Native Plant Appreciation Month! Let’s celebrate our native flora by meandering amidst the blooms on Badger Mtn! First, we’ll hear about upcoming chapter events and exciting native plant activities happening around town, then there will be an option to walk around and take in the blooms! Volunteer Members will be on hand to lead walks or you can choose your own adventure with a self guided tour. Not up for a walk? Nerd out and talk native plants with your fellow native plant enthusiasts at the meeting point. Meet at the Heritage Garden located at the base of the trail just uphill of the Badger Mtn parking lot on Shockley Road. All are welcome to this free event!
Meeting Point: Badger Mtn Trailhead Park Heritage Garden
Parking: Badger Mountain Trailhead Parking Lot (1294 White Bluffs St, Richland, WA 99352)
Things to note: Rocky terrain with elevation gain. Closed toed shoes recommended. Bring water and hiking poles if desired. There is also a short loop at the base of the trail with no elevation gain. If planning to sit out the hike and socialize, we recommend bringing a camp chair or blanket to sit upon. Park bathrooms are located at the trailhead.
