Where- 312 Thayer Dr, Richland, WA 99352 – Congregation Beth Sholom

Join the Heritage Garden Program for our Fall 2024 practicum workshop!  First, we’ll cover some of the basics of how and why to plant native species, including why Fall is the best time to get plants in the ground.  We’ll also talk about the importance of native, naturalized spaces in urban areas and how to foster resilient landscapes in harsh climates.  Then, we’ll apply our knowledge by planting a demonstration garden and enhancing a naturalized area on site that will require no water once established.  Special emphasis will be given on sowing and collecting seeds, plant selection and site evaluation.  All are welcome to this free event!
