UPDATE 5/19/2023— THIS FIELD TRIP HAS BEEN CANCELED — Unfortunately the weather and wildflowers are not forecasted to bee that amenable for pollinator watching for our planned Sunday Hike up Badger Mtn so we have canceled this wildflower walk— Though we are bummed to have to cancel, we encourage you to attend the Butterfly Dash and Discovery Day on Saturday 5/20 including special guest speaker Lisa Robinson of the WA Native Bee society. Over 170 pollinator species have been spotted in the Hansen Park Heritage Garden and many will be out and about on Saturday for your viewing pleasure!

Activities Include: Garden Tours, Butterfly Mural Photo-op, Activity Passports, Art & Crafts, Educational Booths, and Prizes.

Long pants and closed toed shoes are recommended. Bring water and snacks.
All our activities are volunteer led. As part of the Washington Native Plant Society mission, the chapter hosts field trips and programs about native flora that are open to the membership and to the public. Anyone interested in learning about the plants of the local shrub steppe and the Blue Mountains are welcome to register for field trips and join in on our activities. No special experience or knowledge required!
