Snow Buckwheat, Rabbitbrush, and Sagebrush galore! Let’s get outside and take a stroll together through the restoration planting at Leslie Groves North. We’ll be just in time to catch some lingering Fall blooms of the shrub-steppe. While we meander, we’ll also learn about ethical seed collection and dispersal strategies and collect seeds to be used for future projects onsite and within our chapter. We might even get some inspiration on gardening with these native plants in our yards! Plenty of plant ID, both native and noxious, is on the agenda. All are welcome to this free event!
When: Sunday October 8th 10-11:30 AM
Meeting point: Leslie Groves North Restoration Project near the Snyder Street Boat Launch (Leslie Groves Park- Richland, WA cross streets Snyder + Harris)Things to Note:
We will be walking on uneven terrain within the planting site. Closed toed shoes and long pants are recommended. The event will occur rain or shine.
