Wednesday, June 1, 2022, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Horn Rapids Park– BYO Picnic –Wildflower Walk + Seed Collection + Chapter Elections  

Let’s gather together at Horn Rapids Park (off Hwy 225) to view wildflowers, elect our board members and talk about plants together!  BYO Picnic and lawn chairs.  Optional plant ID and hiking into the dunes to see our chapter plant of the year Salvia dorrii aka Purple Sage in all its glory.  If the seeds are ready, we’ll learn about seed collection best practices and gather seed for the chapter to grow.  This park is also a hot spot for bird watching!  There’s something for everyone– All are welcome! Join us and let’s relax outdoors and savor the lingering shrub steppe spring.

What to bring:  BYO Picnic + Lawn chair – Closed toed shoes recommended.

Directions to  Horn Rapids Park (not the HOA)  

From Richland-  Take WA 240 W towards Vantage

Turn Left onto WA 225 W

Turn Left into Horn Rapids Park then turn Left towards the boat Launch.  

Turn right into the Parking Lot near the bathrooms
