Ken Gano has spent years studying and working on restoring natural resources on the Hanford Site. One of his areas of study over the years are the bats found on the Hanford Site. Join the Columbia Basin chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society as Ken discusses many of the amazing adaptation of bats, tells us why they are important and some of the threats they face. The photo is a pallid bat, one of several species found on the Hanford Site.
We’ll also have the new Plant Selection Guide – Heritage Gardens of the Columbia River Basin available for sale at the meeting. Cost of the book is $27, cash or checks accepted.
